1. Community Environmental management Education Promotion through Radio media

Work involvement
The work was done through Preparation and presentation of professional paper concerning water resource management, land pollution, wetland community biodiversity, wastewater management, air pollution, and water related infectious diseases prevention, and answering questions from audiences on radio.
The Topic was prepared depending on community demand driven problem, where the listeners used to send letters at studio requesting topics to be addressed so that it can foster their diversity need. Then, topics were prepared and prioritized in presentation by TAEEs staff.  Audiences were allowed to ask direct questions to presenters and they got direct answers.

  1. Formation of water user entities (WUA), Training and capacity building on Community water project management

The project objectives were facilitating the community in formulation of legal water user entities appropriate for managing and operating the project after decommissioning. Training of the WUA leaders on proper management of water project facilities, financial management, fund raising techniques, National Water Policy (NAWAPO-2002) and objectives on rural and urban water project management. Also the training involved facilitation of community on proper sanitation facilities & hygienic education, water related infectious diseases education, community environmental awareness and Water sources management.

  1. Evaluation of WATSAN project in Mwanza and Geita districts

Evaluation of the implementation of WATSAN project on community sanitation & hygienic education, public health education provided responses from the beneficiary community.

  1. Capacity building on solid waste management in secondary schools

 Pioneering proper solid waste management and handling (collection, storage and disposal) in secondary schools. Mainly the project intended to sensitize on Solid waste Management (SWM) skill and care and the way to handle them.
Output was: The project was successfully implemented and it involved formation of Environmental youth clubs in each school which was under this project.

  1. Environmental Impact Assessment

Conducted Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed upgrading of Kigoma, Kasulu-Nyakanazi road, (332km), Mto wa mbu – Loliondo (215), Lindi region roads Mwigumbi – Lamadi (171), Lindi district roads, KILIWATER – Rombo, Nyanguge-Musoma roads, Kissesa – Usagara.

  1. Industrial training for university students

Conducted Industrial training to 2 students from St. Joseph University in Dar es Salaam

  1. Attending a two days exhibition organized by the Foundation for Civil Society

The exhibition was held at Karimjee hall in Dar es Salaam on 17th to 18th August 2006

  1. Conducting other trainings on water supply design and management
Training of water supply design and management: course was executed between October and November and there was a good responses of participants from NGOs and CSOs
