It appears there is a lot of social engineering going on with regards to global warming theory, and environmentalism. Worse, it seems that the powers to be have ulterior motives in forcing these environmental agendas. You see, there is a lot of money to be made in the alternative energy sector, as governments flow research dollars and subsidies into such programs.
The energy industry is a multi-trillion dollar annual business, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there are those who’d like to wrestle away that revenue stream and control it for themselves. There are many ways to do this, through cap and trade schemes, overregulation of the coal and oil industry, taxation, political mandates, and social engineering.
Social engineering is perhaps the most insidious because the strategy involves using the mass media to control the minds of the people and then get the people to force their governments to move control from the fossil fuel energy sector to the alternative energy industrial capitalists. Adam Smith warned us to be careful of incestuous relationships between business and government.
Those in the alternative energy sector say that it is the fossil fuel industry which has control of governments, even as they use the same tactics they are complaining about to force the flow of money into their own pockets. At some point the alternative energy folks need to look in their own mirror, and be held responsibility for their actions, just as they claim there is corruption in the fossil fuel energy sector.
How bad is the social engineering in this regard? Well, there was an interesting article recently in the New York Times published on June 27, 2011 titled; “Europe Stifles Drivers in Favor of Alternatives” by Elisabeth Rosenthal which stated;
“While American cities are synchronizing green lights to improve traffic flow and offering apps to help drivers find parking, many European cities are doing the opposite: creating environments openly hostile to cars. The methods vary, but the mission is clear – to make car use expensive and just plain miserable enough to tilt drivers toward more environmentally friendly modes of transportation.”
Are you beginning to see what’s going on, governments are controlling the choices of consumers by making their life hell, and causing them hardships to help bring about the alternative energy agenda. The reality is that everyone earns their own money and it is their money to choose how they would like to transport themselves from one place to another. Another reality is that alternative energy cannot provide all the energy that we need to run our civilization, at least not yet.
Rather than making these alternative energy sources perform, we are subsidizing them costing us even more money (taxes and debt spending). Eventually everyone will have no money because the government will take it all to provide all the things that they promise, in the name of clean energy. The government leaders now have the brass testicles to say that the people are willing to pay a little more to help the environment. Perhaps that is so, and maybe it isn’t, but if it is so it’s because of the brainwashing and propaganda being produced.
It seems there is no end to the justification and excuse to make our lives difficult, forcing us into more hardship, and allowing the alternative energy agenda to dictate world policy and politics. If something is a good idea, then it can stand on its own merits in the free market place, and thus, it will happen by itself and there is no need to use trickery, or such terrible tactics on the citizens of these nations. Worse, I believe what they are doing in Europe in this regard, will soon happen here the United States too. Americans must demand their freedom, and not let such an event come to pass here. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
